ABOUT AMSA MEMBERS' PERSONAL PORTFOLIOS

Our organization would love to provide online presence to all members through individual pages built and hosted by AMSA. This is particularly interesting for members who don't have access to the Internet or simply don't have a website, and also for those who want to be listed and have a link to their website, a service that AMSA has always provided.

The directory will include sculptors, collectors, scholars, manufacturers, and all members in general, featuring content on medallic art. AMSA portfolios will include a personal resume and a brief statement or company profile, contact addresses, links, and up to eight images. All AMSA members who wish to have their mini web page published by AMSA, now have the opportunity at a very reasonable price:

Basic portfolio (includes two images plus the artist's bio), $10.00
Additional images up to the sixth, add $4.00 each
Seventh & eighth images, add $2.00 each (limit of eight images)

These fees are annual and include: set up, scanning and formatting of images (if required), hosting and maintenance. Our price and the fact that these portfolios will enjoy the traffic of the AMSA website make this offer very attractive. This experimental project aims to be part of our organization's fundraising efforts. Our fee may be tax-deductible, consult with your accountant.

Members' pages will include the artist's bio (with an optional photograph of the artist, which is free of charge) plus up to eight images that the visitor can click and enlarge. They will also provide a mail address and/or clickable email address so that visitors can contact the artist. Additions and occasional updates on personal pages are recommended and expected, the Webmaster will perform them under request.

How to submit your non returnable material:

1) You can send us your pictures by email, as JPEG files. We'll resize and optimize them. If you don't have access to a scanner, paper copies are welcome. (Keep in mind that the quality for online publication is not equivalent to that of printed images; by previously optimizing every image that we publish online, we try to compensate for this relative loss of quality. The fact is that whilst a good picture is very welcome, an impeccable and expensive professional copy is not indispensable).

Texts should be submitted as text files by email or on diskette by regular mail. Try not to exceed the equivalent of one and a half printed pages, keep in mind that a short bio should include your background, a record of exhibitions and a brief artist's statement (don't forget a contact address, preferably your email address). Please don't send in texts on paper unless it is impossible for you to have them typed, since it notably increases the amount of work. You may include your portrait free of charge, just send it like the rest of images. Our email address: . Our mail address: Enrique S. Moreiro, AMSA Webmaster, Calle Humera 2, 28023 Madrid (SPAIN)

2) Make your check payable to AMSA and send it to: AMSA, P.O. Box 1201, Edmonds, WA 98020. Foreign requests are to be paid in U.S. dollars drawn on a U.S. Bank.

This service will be exclusive for members in good standing. AMSA will charge a small annual fee for portfolios, while links to existing art sites will continue to be free of charge. Material not related to medallic art or images that don't meet quality standards for publication may be considered unsuitable and rejected by AMSA.
